About · Bonsay Technologies OÜ · Tallinn

An EU engineering company built by people who delivered for clients.

Bonsay Technologies was founded by IT professionals who spent decades delivering software in finance, logistics, retail and the public sector — and saw how chaotic, expensive and unpredictable those projects could be. We built a company that delivers on time, within budget and with a practical approach to risk.

Why “Bonsay”

A bonsai lives for decades — if someone looks after it.

Software is the same. Systems that run a business outlive the people who built them. Our job is the patient, unglamorous part: keeping them healthy, shaping them carefully, and growing them where it pays.

How we vet engineers

Four steps. Over 80% of candidates don’t get through.

The same process for a single placement and for a ten-person team.

  1. 1

    Strategic profilingstep 1

A candidate profile built from the real tasks of the role, not a keyword list. We look for people who have delivered under pressure in finance, healthcare, logistics and the public sector.

  2. 2

    Real-world testingstep 2

A practical task on our platform. Paper qualifications are not enough — candidates show they can do the work.

  3. 3

    Expert panelstep 3

A technical interview with a senior engineer: problem solving, communication, curiosity and ownership.

  4. 4

    Fit and Englishstep 4

Teamwork, accountability and working English, so the engineer joins your stand-ups, not just your repository.

You do, from the first line. IP assignment is part of the services agreement, and everything lives in your repositories, clouds and accounts from day one.
